Equally educational and entertaining, Savoy Faire’s program is a wonderful fit for libraries, schools, senior centers, and community fundraisers. Our 2026 Savoy Faire program features a one-hour production of The Mikado by Sir Arthur Sullivan and Sir W.S. Gilbert complete with 6 singers and a pianist! We can schedule a performance for you between March 14 and May 11, and will provide you with a colorful poster to advertise the event. The Mikado is a timeless comic opera filled with witty satire, unforgettable melodies, and playful romance. Set in the whimsical town of Titipu, the story follows young lovers Nanki-Poo and Yum-Yum as they navigate tangled engagements, absurd laws, and the schemes of the pompous Lord High Executioner. “Savoy Faire” is a Gilbert & Sullivan ensemble of featured artists from Light Opera of New Jersey, who are focused on community outreach. The primary goal of Savoy Faire is to educate and enlighten audiences of all ages while providing top-notch entertainment. Light Opera of New Jersey is artist in residence at St. Marks Episcopal Church in Basking Ridge, where they present an eclectic variety of musical offerings throughout the year ranging from Opera to Broadway to A Cappella.
