Three forms of art: Light Opera of New Jersey (LONJ) is a premier performing arts company that presents opera, light opera, and musical theater in a unique blend of both classical and contemporary works.

Opportunity: LONJ provides local singers, instrumentalists and production team members the opportunity to present high-quality shows alongside seasoned professionals.

Youth Mentorship: LONJ mentors young artists of elementary school through college age in many aspects of the performing arts.

Location: LONJ serves communities across Central and Northern New Jersey in unique ways, bringing engaging programming to concert halls, schools, libraries, senior living facilities, community centers and other venues.

Culture: LONJ enriches the cultural life of our region through accessible and entertaining programming.  Our Opera for All initiative provides free or discounted tickets to those who may not otherwise have been able to afford them.

Impact: Your support ensures that LONJ and the art forms that it presents continue to thrive by reaching new and existing audiences.   Our productions require substantial amounts of labor, talent and a cash flow that is not fully met by ticket revenue and grants. We look to individual donors to close this financial gap in order to further the tradition of growth and success that LONJ has enjoyed since 1995. We also seek dedicated volunteers both on-stage and behind the scenes to help us bring our vision to life.
